Tuesday, Kaden and I met up with a few kids, Mom's, Dads, and one cute new puppy named Noggles.
The Scudder's have a new puppy and another one coming in a few weeks. Both of them are boy Australian Shepherds. He was wonderful with the children and I know this sweet boy will bring them lots of love...
It was great to get out and enjoy the sunshine with our Pre-School friends. We hope to get together and let the kids play once a week or every other week. The children had such a great time.
Last week Pam and I met with the kids alone and the Ice Cream Man came by. Both Pam and I are not real fond of buying ice cream from the truck. I personally have a nervous feeling of what is in the ice cream and what kind of man is selling to the children. Poor man he is just trying to make a living and I have stereo typed him. I would rather take Kaden for an ice cream at a store than a dirty truck which sells sweets. Anyways, last week Kaden left in tears because he did not get "Sonic the Hedgehog" Ice Cream on a stick.
Pam and I told Kaden the truck was not coming today because the Elementary school was not out early today. Just as we are getting ready to leave... you know who comes by "Mr. Ice Cream Man" and yes he did get the Ice Cream but was told it was not polite to eat Ice Cream in front of our friends so we had to leave. This would be the last time we eat Ice Cream from the truck.
Let me tell you his lips and hands stayed blue for quite a while. YUCK!
Yesterday, we met up with Daddy who was pouring concrete.
This was a dream for one little boy.
He was so excited to see the truck and help Pat smooth out the first batch of cement. Pat gave him a trowel and he went right to work.
We soon said goodbye to Daddy.
I promised Kaden for all his hard work I would treat him to a hot chocolate and a Sprinkles Cupcake. He loves the cinnamon and sugar cupcake best. I think it tastes like one big cinnamon and sugar donut. While we were there we went to get our brine for our Thanksgiving Turkey at Sur la Table. I can't believe that it is holiday season once again. YIKES!!! We could not start our season off without our visit to Rogers Garden to see the beautiful Christmas tree's and the out door train.
Today is football night for us. Damien is playing Chino tonight. Hopefully we will win so they can be in the CIF finals. I wish the team will get a weekend of rest but if they win I doubt that will be the case. We were told to be prepared for them to practice on Thanksgiving Day.
Austin will be home in 14 days... we are counting down. He saw his counselor Monday and has his classes for the next semester. I think he is looking forward to moving on into new classes after the first of the year.
Just living the everyday life...What a wonderful ride!
